Wynnum Manly too strong for Ipswich

It was a cold and rainy night at BMD Kougari Oval and an old rivalry awaited as the Wynnum Manly Seagulls played host to the Ipswich Jets.

The Seagulls were looking to continue their unbeaten run at home, although the task was made a little harder with Edene Gebbie ruled out pre-game with injury.

It forced Seagulls coach Adam Brideson to shift Patrick Templeman to fullback and Jayden Berrell into the starting side in the halves.

After some early sustained pressure, it was the home side who crossed first when Seagulls captain Mitchell Cronin layed on a short ball for Alex Barr to crash over.
